This frig started aut great but has turned into a significant dissapointment. We purchased the unit in February 2022 and it woarked flawlessly for just over two years. The cooling was great, the build quality is excellent and we liked the flexibility for setting the temperature profile inside the unit. All of that came to a screeching halt in the past couple of weeks when the unit died. It proved impossible to get anyone at Vintec to respond to an email and I was unable to get through on the phone. In fact, if you check the website, the phone number for service is incomplete, it is actually missing a digit!
Things got worse today when a technician from the retailer inspected the unit an told us that the compressor had failed. Estimated repair cost is $2,000 which is about half of what we paid for the unit originally. I don't think it is worth repairing.
Sent an email to Vintec on June 5 and got a reply on June 6 that they would get back to me. Have not heard anything since then. When I called the only phone number I could find on the website I got a message telling me to call during business hours - guess what, I called during the hours that they were supposed to be open. Then the call terminated; that happened twice.
The service tech gave me a phone number for Electrolux and I called them while writing this review. After being on hold almost 20 min, someone ansewered my call. Waiting right now to see what they will do.
If you buy one of these, get the very best service plan you can, you may well need it.
